3 Ways an Online Personal Writing Assistant Has Made Me A Better Writer
Have you ever wanted someone to review your work for grammar and tone? Over the last couple of years, I used Grammarly to check my grammar and tone in emails, Word documents, and Google Docs.  In this essay, I’m sharing with you 3 ways Grammarly has become my online personal writing assistant and consequently transformed my confidence in everything I write from memos, to blog posts, and even academic papers.
First, Grammarly checks the tone of your writing, including if you are happy, neutral, or negative, from what you’ve written based on the preferences you set in the Admin dashboard. I have to admit that I started over several emails to get the correct tone for my audience when I saw Grammarly’s feedback.
Second, Grammarly shares feedback with you in a non-intrusive way.  When you are given corrections with your writing, you are shown the number of grammatical errors. On the other hand, you’re your memos, blogs, and academic papers are error-free. You receive positive comments like, “You must have been practicing!” If you don’t like the suggestions, you can click the trash button in the sidebar.  Grammarly learns from what you do. Tips help you with the clarity of your writing.
Third, a weekly email update about your progress shares what you can do to improve your writing. The feedback helps with your productivity.  At first, this is very intimidating, but over time, as you write more, the weekly feedback is constructive to write better.
Finally, your work, social, and academic writing will improve tremendously by using Grammarly.
